Why vaccinate with the children's 6-in-1 combination vaccine?
The children's 6-in-1 combination vaccine protects against 6 serious diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), and hepatitis B—these are major threats to infants and young children. Compared to separate injections, this vaccine reduces the total number of injections and lowers the chance of side effects from individual vaccinations.
What are the advantages of the children's 6-in-1 combination vaccine?
-
Fewer injections: Replaces 11 separate shots with just 5 doses (at 2, 4, 6, 18 months), reducing pain and clinic visits.
-
Fewer side effects: Uses acellular pertussis components, cutting fever/redness risk by 30-40% compared to whole-cell vaccines.
-
Strong protection: Near-100% reduction in disease incidence among vaccinated populations, aligning with Hong Kong and global immunization guidelines.
