*This vaccine plan is only applicable to people aged 9-14 years old.
‧ According to the manufacturer's guidelines, to achieve optimal protection, individuals aged 9 to 14 must receive 2 doses within 1 year, while those aged 15 and above are required to receive 3 doses within 1 year (calculated from the date of the first dose).
‧ If the recommended number of doses cannot be completed within 1 year, it is advisable to restart the vaccination schedule one year after the date of the last dose received.
‧ Currently, the guidelines indicate that upon completing the required doses as mentioned, there is no need for booster shots in the future.

- One of the common cancers among Hong Kong women.
- Most commonly caused by HPV types 16 and 18.
9-Valent HPV Vaccine Coverage
- Covers 9 virus types: HPV 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 58.
- Prevents cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and anal cancers.
- Prevents genital warts (condyloma acuminatum).
- For men: head & neck, oral, tongue, nasopharyngeal, and throat cancers.
HPV Transmission Routes
- Both men and women with sexual experience are at risk.
- Besides sexual contact, sharing towels, hot springs, public toilets, or hand-to-genital contact can transmit.
- Men have high infection rate (1 in 2); more related disease cases than women.
- Can be transmitted from infected pregnant women to newborns.
Vaccine Importance
- HPV is one of the few cancer-causing viruses preventable by vaccine.
- Prevents 80-90% of HPV-related cancers and diseases.
- Earlier vaccination provides earlier protection.

Recommend to individuals aged 9-14 (Suitable for both Male and Female)
- 2 doses injection schedule: - completed at 0 and 6th month.
- 2nd dose need to finish at least 5 month after the 1st injection. All doses must finish within 1 year after completion of 1st dose.
- The vaccine provides lasting immunity. Generally, no boosters are required.
Not applicable to:
- People with previous anaphylaxis (serious allergy) to a previous dose of the vaccine or any of the vaccine ingredients
- Those who have an allergic reaction to eggs, egg whites or yeast
- Pregnant women
- People with fever, moderate or severe illness should be vaccinated after recovery

- If you have a fever or are currently taking antibiotics on the day of vaccination, it is recommended to postpone the injection.
- Individuals undergoing medical treatments (such as chemotherapy, steroids, etc.) should consult a doctor for guidance before receiving the vaccine.
- If you are taking medication but are unsure whether you can receive the vaccine, it is advised to consult a doctor first or bring your medication for the medical staff to check on the day of injection before deciding suitability.
- This plan requires an assessment by medical personnel to determine suitability. If evaluated as unsuitable for vaccination, an assessment fee of HKD 350 will apply, and the remaining balance can be refunded or exchanged.
