ARIA Stroke Risk & Cognitive Assessment + Basic Eye Examination (TSIM SHA TSUI Exclusive)

*The following individuals are not suitable for ARIA stroke and cognitive impairment risk screening:

  • Patients with cataracts
  • Those diagnosed with stroke, transient ischemic attack, cognitive impairment, or mild cognitive impairment*

In recent years, there has been a trend of younger individuals experiencing strokes, with some occurring without any warning signs. The impact on patients with strokes and cognitive impairment can be significant, leading to issues such as emotional disturbances, cognitive dysfunction, aphasia, and memory loss¹. In severe cases, individuals may be unable to take care of their daily needs. Therefore, early prevention and treatment can reduce the serious consequences of strokes and delay the onset of cognitive impairment, allowing for more effective management of one’s health.

The ARIA technology captures retinal images using a fundus camera to analyze the condition of retinal blood vessels and assess overall cerebral vascular health. It effectively estimates the risk of stroke and age-related white matter changes (ARWMH), which are associated with dementia, helping you quickly understand your risk of stroke and cognitive impairment. With the rise of electronic devices, eye-related issues have become more common; therefore, this program also includes selected vision tests to identify potential eye problems.

Developed by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, it has received patents in the United States, China, and Taiwan.
