ARIA-eWMH Cognitive Health Risk (ARIAeWMH)
ARIA-eWMH Cognitive Health Risk (Tsim Sha Tsui Exclusive)
*The following individuals are not suitable for this program:
- Patients with cataracts
- Those diagnosed with cognitive impairment or mild cognitive impairment.
The number of elderly individuals with cognitive impairment continues to rise¹, making it a common form of brain degeneration among seniors, affecting nearly one in ten of the elderly population. The prevalence is even higher among those aged 85 and older, with rates reaching one-third², indicating a significantly high likelihood of the condition. Patients face challenges such as memory loss, communication difficulties (both speaking and understanding), incontinence, and abnormal behavior, which create considerable stress for both the patients themselves and their caregivers³.
Cognitive impairment risk screening can effectively assess the risk of dementia associated with white matter lesions (ARWMH), allowing for the estimation of cognitive impairment risk levels. Early prevention, improvement, and delay of disease progression can help reduce the impact of the condition on patients.
Features:
⦁ High accuracy, with stroke risk assessment accuracy reaching up to 94%
⦁ Safe, painless, with no side effects, and non-invasive
⦁ Can be conducted regularly
⦁ No blood samples required, with the process taking only about 15 minutes
