Hong Kong is the first region in Asia to offer respiratory syncytial virus vaccine.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common and contagious respiratory virus. Individuals aged 60 or older, as well as those with underlying conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic heart failure, are at a higher risk of severe RSV infection.
This is a vaccine administered via intramuscular injection for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in individuals aged 60 or above. The vaccine is 82.6% effective in preventing lower respiratory tract diseases caused by RSV, and it shows an efficacy of 94.6% in individuals with at least one comorbidity, providing protection for those over 60.
- Suitable for people aged 60 or above to receive injections.
- About 6% of people with at least one comorbidity of concern are protected against lower respiratory tract disease caused by respiratory syncytial virus.
- Prevent complications that may occur in elderly people hospitalized with RSV, such as pneumonia and aggravation of heart failure.

If you purchase this vaccine plan, please pay attention to the following vaccination instructions:
- Human Health will contact the customer within 2 working days after successful payment. Customers can also call hotline at 3970 8888 for booking. (Operation hours: Monday to Sunday: 9:00a.m.– 7:00p.m.)
Customer needs to follow the injection schedule. - Vaccination must be scheduled within 6 months of purchase; no refunds will be issued for expired appointments.
- Same-day appointments are not accepted. Please schedule your vaccination at least 3 working days in advance.
- People who have allergic reactions to vaccine ingredients should not receive the injection.
- If you have a fever or are taking antibiotics on the day of injection, it is recommended to delay the injection.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are receiving drug treatment (such as chemotherapy, steroids, etc.), you should consult a doctor for advice and guidance before receiving injections.
- If you are taking medicine but are not sure whether you can receive the vaccine, it is recommended to consult a doctor first or bring the relevant medicine to the medical staff for examination on the day of injection before deciding whether it is suitable for the injection.
- If after assessment by the doctor, you are not suitable for the vaccine injection, you will need to pay the doctor's consultation fee of HK$300 - $350. The difference will be refunded. The detailed charges will be based on the arrangements of the medical center.
